Booking Policy

When using our "APPI Online Reservation", please be sure to read the following terms and conditions.

We provide APPI Online Reservation system (hereafter referred to as "our online reservation system") for you to book and stay at Hotel APPI Grand, APPI Grand Villa or APPI Grand Annex (hereafter referred to as "our hotel"). When you use our online reservation system, you acknowledge and agree to have read, understood and agreed to the terms and conditions set out below (including the privacy statement).

Article 1: Compliance with Accepted Internet Usage

When using our online reservation system, please comply with the generally accepted manners, morals and technical rules involved with using the internet.

Article 2: Measures in case of Non-Compliance

We may refuse you use of our online reservation system if you cause trouble or disadvantage to a third party, obstruct our hotel service or do anything our hotel considers inappropriate.

Article 3: Condition of Use

Our reservation system is meant for those who have access to email, and (Japanese characters). Our hotel will not take any responsibility for the outcomes resulting from use of our online reservation system when the user does not fit these conditions. Nor will our hotel take responsibility for our reservation sytem not working properly when the cause of the problem is due to the user's computer settings, or anything not related to our hotel's management of the system.

Article 4: Points to Note When using Our Online Reservation System

The APPI Online Hotel Reservation System makes it possible for users to book accommodation through our homepage, however, the vacancies displayed on your screen may differ to the actual vacancies currently available. Similarily, even when the online system states that there are no vacancies, it may still be possible to make a booking by email. We take email bookings for on the day, the previous day, and 2 days prior.

Article 5: Booking

  • After selecting your rooms/plans, and confirming availability, please fill out the necessary forms on the reservation page. Please ensure all data is entered correctly.
  • If there is data missing from your application, it may not be possible to continue to the next page, so please be sure to fill in ALL necessary forms.
  • In order to complete your booking, you will need to access a "Booking URL" sent to you in a Booking Confirmation email. One email is sent per booking.

Article 6: Booking Confirmation

When proceeding with a booking on our online reservation system, a "Booking Confirmation" email will automatically be sent to your email address. Please click on the "Booking URL in that email. You will be directed to a page that will tell you "YOUR BOOKING HAS BEEN SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED." and a confirmation email will be sent to your email address.

Article 7: Changes and Cancellation

When making booking changes/cancellations, please follow the methods and procedures as explained in "About Changes and Cancellations", and please contact us. Cancellation fees and other fees incurred will be in accordance with our Changes and Cancellation Regulations.

Article 8: User's Responsibility

  • When using our online reservation system, the user accepts sole responsibility for their actions, problems with their email account and anything that results from these, regardless of whether intentional or by mistake.
    Upon using our online reservation system, except in the case where our hotel is found to be negligent, if the user were to cause any loss to a third party, the user shall be required to solve the dispute with such third party at their own risk and expense.
  • If the user of our reservation system causes damage to our reservation system and/or our hotel by engaging in any of the following, our hotel will claim compensation for all damages incurred by the user:
    (1) Writing or sending harmful programs
    (2) Writing or sending third party information
    (3) Anything else against Japanese local laws

Article 9: System Contents/Change of Terms

It may be necessary for our hotel to make changes to the system or its contents without notice. It may also be necessary to make changes to these terms without notice, so please be sure to refer to these terms and conditions each time. Once changes have been made, anything prior to the change becomes invalid.

Article 10: Validity of Terms

These Terms and Conditions are valid as of 10th December 2003 (Japan standard time)

Privacy Policy

Iwate Hotel and Resort Co., Ltd (hereafter reffered to as "our company") respects your personal information and adheres to the following policy and practices when dealing with the personal information collected through the use of our reservation system.

Basic Policy

  • Our company recognises the importance of your personal information and strives to handle your personal information appropriately according to the following principles.
  • Our company only uses your personal information for the explicit reasons stated. Our company will not disclose your personal information to a third party without your agreement or without a legitimate reason.
  • Along with keeping your personal information accurate and up-to-date, we strive to prevent unauthorized access, loss, tampering or leakage of your personal information.

Compliance with Laws and Regulations

Our company complies with all laws and regulations regarding the protection of your personal information.

Collection of Your Personal Information

We restrict the use of your personal information to the purposes explicitly stated. In the case that we need to use your information outside of the purposes originally stated, we will let you know in advance, and only use your information within the scope that we have your consent.

Protection and Management of Your Personal Information

As well as carrying out an ideal level of safe countermeasures to protect your personal information from outside unauthorised and false access and leakage, we also strive to continuously take the necessary measures to ensure that there is no misuse of your information from within the company.

Disclosure of Your Personal Information to Third Parties

Our company will not disclose your personal information to third parties without your agreement. However, in order to handle the purchasing and postage of our products we do provide personal information to financial institutions and delivery services. Also, if requested by a court, police, lawyer etc. to disclose your personal information, we may do so without your permission.

Outsourcing of Administrative Duties

Our company may entrust the handling of your personal information, within the bounds of its intended use, to a third party. Together with ensuring that such third parties also handle your personal information in appropriately, so that there is no leakage nor unauthorized access, we manage and direct the third party.

System Establishment

We try our best to protect your personal information by educating about appropriate handling of personal information within the company.

Inquiries Regarding the Disclosure of Personal Infomation, Corrections and Deletion

If a user of our reservation system wishes to check their personal information, only when we can confirm that they are the actual person in question will we disclose that information to them. Then, in the case that there is a mistake or a change to their personal information, we will delete or correct it at their request.

Use of Personal Information in Electronic Media

The information that we gather through the use of each of the electronic media services we provide is used for the following purposes:

  • Online Hotel Booking
    We only use the personal information provided by the user of our company's online booking to ensure there are no inconveniences with their accommodation.
  • Surveys
    The surveys that we conduct through our company's electronic media collect personal information that is used for market research and marketing purposes. We do not use the information collected in these surveys to directly contact you, but we may send you an email of appreciation.

Secure Socket Layer -SSL (https)

We use Verisign Japan SSL Server Certification and SSL encryption when transmitting your personal information.

Cookies

Cookies are small amounts of data sent from a website to a users browser and stored on their computer's hard drive.
When a user sets their browser to accept cookies, a web server may send cookies to the user's web browser, but to ensure privacy protection, that web server may only access the cookies that it has sent.
